Which are the best images for PR? - 04/11/2008
A picture paints a thousand words – ok, it’s a well oiled phrase but one that applies perfectly to the PR industry. In the consumer press in particular, getting good coverage for our clients is hugely dependent on the quality of their images. Yet when it comes to budgets, clients can be, understandably, reluctant (or simply unable) to foot the bill of a shoot which can run into tens of thousands of pounds. So how do we maximize our clients’ coverage with the minimum budget? In a recent survey, it was found that 68% of journalists use cut out shots (ie those on white background) over lifestyle shots (products in-situ) so we recommend all clients have high quality cut out images of all products in their range. Quite simply, the more good quality cut-out images a client has, the more coverage they will receive. If you need recommendations of photographers, please just get in touch.Tags: Consumer PR |
